Competition overview

  • The programming competition consists of one round.
  • The duration will be 5 hours (non-stop).
  • Organizers will provide teams with the problem set, papers, and pens.
  • Organizers will provide PCs and internet — one PC per team.
02

Competition rules

  • All programming languages supported by HackerRank are allowed.
  • Use of standard libraries and functions (methods) provided by the IDEs is allowed.
  • Problems require developing an algorithm and producing console output in a fixed format. Output is matched character-to-character with the expected program output.
  • Scoring is Yes/No — either correct or incorrect.
  • If there is a tie in problems solved, scoring depends on time from competition start to correct submission (auto-judged and viewable on the board).
  • Judges’ decisions are final and cannot be challenged. Continued arguing with the host team may result in disqualification.
  • Mobile phones and other communication devices are strictly prohibited during the competition. Anyone seen using them will be immediately disqualified. Devices must be switched off and kept in pockets or handbags — not visible or accessible.
  • Once the competition starts, discussion between different teams may result in immediate disqualification.
  • Unfair means — plagiarism, shared helping codes, cheat sheets, and LLMs — are prohibited.
  • No external edibles are allowed inside the lab. Refreshments may be purchased once the competition is over.
